  • CAOCHANGDI PHOTOSPRING 2010, APRIL-JUNE
  • Fenech was invited to take part in the Caochangdi Photospring 2010 at the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre at No 155A Caochangdi, Chaoyang District, Beijing.  More than thirty exhibitions will be held in the Caochangdi art district, with exclusive programming from the Rencontres d’Arles, as well as shows by members of the flourishing Chinese photographic scene and international artists. Fenech is showing photographs from his 'Burning Bush' series and the exhibitions will run from April 17 to June 30, 2010.

  • "IN THE LOOP" VIDEO EXPO - JUNE 2010
  • 'My Friends Call Me Ado', a video piece by Maltese artist Patrick Fenech has been selected for screening at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. The exhibition, titled In The Loop: Contemporary video art from the EU is to be held in June 2010 in Washington DC; it forms part of Preview Spain: Arts & Culture 2010, a diverse cultural program presented by the Embassy of Spain in Washington and the Spain-USA foundation to celebrate the current Spanish Presidency of the European Union.

    In The Loop will be featuring video works from each EU member state in three different locations in Washington DC: The National Portrait Gallery, The Phillips Collection and the American University Katzen Arts Center Museum. Fenech’s My Friends Call Me Ado, which will be screened at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, presents a monologue where Ado, an immigrant from Burkina Faso, reveals his sole objective: to sing and play music to make other people happy.

    Maltese participation in this event has been coordinated by the Embassy of Malta in Washington DC and the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts.

  • MMHN CONFERENCE IZMIR - May 2010
  • Patrick Fenech has been invited by K2 Centre for Contemporary Art in Izmir in May to deliver an artist talk and presentation based on an installation from his current work called "Traces".  He will also show a series of photographs "Encounter with a Siren" connected with this theme at the University of Economics, Izmir as part of the 3rd Mediterrranean Maritime History Conference.

  • M.ZIMMERMANN Gallery - October 2009
  • Patrick Fenech will be taking part in a group exhibition at the M. Zimmermann Gallery in Hamburg through the month of October, with Werner Beecken, (Germany); Malgorzata Karp-Soja, (Poland); Christian Svendsen, (Denmark); Ezequiel Montero, (Argentina) and Oksana Gansera-Pazych, (Ukraine).   He will be showing new photographs from the series 'Blister'.

  • NYARTS PAVILION - 53rd VENICE BIENNALE 2009
  • Invited to particpate in an exhibition called 'Global perspectives' with 5 curators and 50 artists from around the world at the NYARTS Venice Pavilion at the  Consorzio Cantieristica Minore Veneziana,  Guidecca - Venice from 7 June - to 22 November 2009.

  • Here, There & Everywhere - Boston MA  April 2009
  • Here, There and Everywhere:  Anticipating the Art of the Future celebrates today’s new world order, where borders are porous, communication instantaneous and spectacular achievements, more often than not, a joint effort.  For this event Patrick Fenech presented a photographic project called 'Devotion' and collaborated with Dr Chris Tribble, a social documentarist based in London.  This art project was selected from a wide pool of applicants and will be exhibited in Boston MA this April.

  • NUIT BLANCHE - Paris 4 OCTOBER 2008
  • After the success of the Les Nuit d'Arles, Photographic Identities of Europe, the same exhibition will now be projected at the Nuit Blanche du Paris.  Patrick Fenech will show a series of photographs with the title "Burning Bush' at the Nuit de L'Europe, identites photographiques europeennes at the Yitzak Rabin Gardens - Gare de Bercy

  • MALTA ARTS FESTIVAL - SUMMER 2008
  • The Malta Council for Culture and The Arts invited Patrick Fenech and well known architect Richard England to participate in this years edition of the Malta Arts Festival which runs during summer from the 1 July  to the 25 July 2008.  Fenech will be showing nine large photography composites with the title 'The New Eye of Osiris'.  Peter Serracino Inglott has written the foreword to the catalogue of the exhibition and the show was inagurated by President Emeritus Prof. Guido Demarco.

  • PHOTOGRAPHICAL IDENTITIES OF EUROPE
  • This unique event organised by the Recontres de la Photographie d'Arles,will be presenting a wide panorama of  contemporary photographical creation in the 27 member-states of the European Union. It will take place on the night of July 9th 2008 in Arles, France. Each of the 27 countries will be represented by three photographers, through a selection of 20 to 30 of their works. The selections will be presented to the public by night on various large-screen projections dispatched on the vast industrial site (former railway industry area) of "Parc des Ateliers" in Arles. In addition to the EUROPEAN NIGHT, all the photographic material will be gathered into one exhibition, presented during the Rencontres d'Arles 2008 until September 14th.   Patrick Fenech is presenting a series of images with the title "BURNING BUSH" curated by artist Vince Briffa.  A catalouge of the works will be published.

  • EYID 2008 - 'PICTURES IN MY MIND'
  • Every year, the European Union chooses a theme for a campaign aimed at raising public awareness on a specific issue making the headlines. This year's theme is Intercultural Dialogue 2008. Malta's project, presented by St James Cavalier Centre for the Arts, is based on the five senses. Patrick Fenech will lead the action 'SIGHT' by presenting several workshops on photography and an exhibition created by all the individuals who will participate in this project.
